In the article “GPS Insight Can Meet
‘Out-of-The-Box’ Requirements”, it introduces the functionality, features,
and benefits of GPS Insight, which primarily provides “asset and vehicle
tracking solutions”. The main function of GPS Insight is to retrieve and relay
back data collected to the user for analysis, all while happening in real time.
The article also stated that the features of GPS Insight are “configurable and
customizable” according to the user’s requirements and preferences. To be able
to meet user’s ever-changing demands and requests, GPS Insight introduces new
features based on user’s response and feedback. Due to GPS Insight’s
customizability, it is able to perform at different degrees of
comprehensiveness, making it a versatile product. I agree with the article on
“GPS Insight Can Meet ‘Out-of-The-Box’, in terms of the specifications and
features. It will benefit present and future user. As it mentioned that new
features are put in place to meet the demand and response of the user.
GPS insights has been going through
rapid developments, with new features and enhanced specifications to attract
more users. It has features such as quick theft recovery, provides fast alert
to user when their assets or vehicles are stolen, in order to swiftly recover
it. With real-time fleet visibility, users can locate the historical data of
their fleet efficiently via mobile or any desktop. On one hand, these features
helps to reduce fuel, labor and maintenance costs, on the other hand it also
increases the productivity of employees. With the rising pressure on fleet
companies in the efforts to reduce carbon foot-prints, eco-friendly products are
developed via green technology. This has contributed to a progressive growth in
the markets, generally more customers are beginning to accept it.
Fleet providing companies utilizes
unique features which mainly target fleet-specific needs to slash down costs
and boost productivity. Auto-mobile industries are introducing a new line-up of
in-vehicle for individual seeking conveniences. Even telecommunication
companies are using device equipped with features such as emergency services
and navigation.
According to a company post by Rob
Donat a technology consultant in 2004, he has helped the trucking companies with
GPS tracking software with customizable features, without additional costs. GPS
insights was also in collaboration with business and government agencies with
fleets of vehicles, and other mobile asset to increase revenue, reduced costs
and reduced risks.
All these characteristics
demonstrates that GPS insight has been offering a wide ranges of product
solutions, which constantly meet the growing demand by the customers. It
will benefit fleet drivers, as they can get their vehicle enhanced with safety
features. At an affordable cost, users can enjoy a greater road safety down the
road. In a large extent, this has benefitted the company and its consumer.

Thank you for this effort, Peng Wee (or should I call you Aaron?). You have a discernible focus on GPS Insights. What is the greatest weakness in this essay is the lack of a controlling idea, or focus. Your thesis, if it is the following sentence, doesn't provide that:
ReplyDeleteI agree with the article on “GPS Insight Can Meet ‘Out-of-The-Box’, in terms of the specifications and features. It will benefit present and future user. As it mentioned that new features are put in place to meet the demand and response of the user.
If the last sentence above is the thesis, then I expect to read more directly about how a set of features are built into this product " to meet the demand and response of the user." But I don't have that sense from reading the supporting body paragraphs. You need to do a better job of being direct about controlling the flow of your ideas and connecting what follows in the supporting paragraphs with what you present in the thesis.
